After graduating from University in 2007 and lamenting the fact that after 4 years of arduous study I had only a piece of paper to my name, I ventured across the pond to find the experiences that textbooks could never provide. My first destination was Japan. I spent nearly 2 years there teaching ESL. I somehow found the time to travel around Japan, East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In 2010 I made a quick pitstop in Canada to get my teaching credentials and soon after began work at an ESL school in Moscow, Russia. After one year I took up a job at a British International School in the same city. I gained much experience teaching Year 3 and later Year 1 (Kindergarten). I spent 4 years in Russia and found the time to travel around Europe, the Middle East, and Western Asia. I have had many experiences along the way including randomly encountering convicted criminals on an island in Russia and practicing Japanese with a biker gang on a ferry-boat in Japan.
Currently, I am studying with the hesychasts at the cusp of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York.
